Flower Arrangements
  • What are your hours and are you open to the public?
    Our hours that you can contact us are: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Saturday 9am - 4 pm Sunday Closed We are not open to the public.
  • Can I order only flowers in a certain color?
    We try to grow flowers that span the color spectrum. However, we cannot guarantee that we can provide a certain color at any particular time of the year. We tend to plant more pastel colors for spring, bolder colors in summer, followed by more orange and yellows into the fall. That said, we will work with you to ensure that you are happy with the flowers we are able to provide.
  • If I want to order flowers for an event or wedding, how soon should I order them?
    We need at least 72 hours notice on all orders of flowers for events or weddings before pick-up. Ideally, contacting us at least a month before is appreciated, so that we can manage the availability of flowers.
  • Do you design floral arrangements for events or weddings?
    We currently do not offer floral arranging services for events or weddings. We are happy to work with you to provide the very best flowers we can in season for your event.
  • If I want roses for my event or wedding do you offer them?
    We offer fresh cut field grown perennials and annuals. We do not offer roses or any other shrubby flower.
  • Can I come out to the farm to see what flowers you have?
    We are not open to the public. However, if you have an upcoming event and want to view our flowers in person to assist in making your vision a reality, please contact us to arrange a time for you to do so. 434-363-7614.
  • How do I contact you with more questions?
    You can call us at 434-363-7614, or email at info@fourfigsfarmflowers.com. We will respond within 24-48 hours to all inquiries.
  • Do you use pesticides on your flowers or chemical fertilizers?
    We at Four Figs Farm believe in growing our flowers, vegetables and fruit in a sustainable fashion that is organic. We only use organic compost and fertilizers on our plants. For pest control we use only approved organic controls.
  • How long will your bouquets and market arrangements last?
    We pick our flowers just as they are opening, or with those that will last, when fully open. You can expect the flowers to last 5-7 days after purchase if cared for properly. It is normal for some flowers to fade during this time. Just remove them from the arrangement or dead head as needed. We attach a care card to each of our arrangements and bouquets.
  • Do you use and pesticides or other chemicals on your figs?
    We do not use any pesticides or chemicals on our figs.
  • How best to store figs?
    Figs have a very short shelf life. So the best way to store them is unwashed in the refrigerator. They will keep for about three days before they become mushy. If you cannot use them all immediately, figs can be frozen and used to cook with at a later date.
  • When are your figs available?
    Figs begin producing fruit in August and continue until the first hard frost in October. We generally begin selling them early September.
  • Do you sell your figs to restaurants?
    Yes, we sell directly to restaurants. Please contact us so we can discuss frequency and quantities.
  • Do you sell your figs at the farmers market or can I contact you to purchase directly?
    Yes, we sell figs at our markets August-October. If you are looking for a more than a quart of figs, please contact us to arrange a purchase. We will need at least 48-72 hour notice to ensure we can meet your request. 434-363-7614
